Eco Racer is an automobile which runs on hydrogen and therefore, instead of CO₂, the Eco Racer emits water. This eco-friendly and economical hydrogen vehicle (burning 1 lt of fuel per 600 km) was designed and produced entirely by the Technical University of Crete.
"We have been designing eco friendly cars since 2007. They are safe, quiet, light and harmless to the environment and our finance" says Chronis Spanoudakis, the professor supervising the project. In the past, eco-racer has received awards four times at international shows, thanks to its comparative advantages in terms of safety and economy. For the time being, the vehicle has space for one passenger only.
