A Greek team from the northeastern coastal city Alexandroupoli won the first place in the category of "Interior design" and the subcategory of "Informational and transactional kiosks and terminals" at the 11th annual International Design Awards (IDA) in Los Angeles.
The award was announced on Twitter by president of the Hellenic Confederation of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (ESEE) Vassilis Korkidis.
The city team has set up the futuristic AXD kiosk at the open mall of Alexandroupoli.
President of the Alexandroupoli Trader's Association Constantine Hadzimichail expressed pride in a strategic decision to promote high architecture and modern planning for the city center, and congratulated the city's team, including architects Androniki Manavi, Stavros Mystakidis, Ioanna Vouzi and Marina Alexandridi.
