Alternate Economy and Development Minister Alexis Charitsis will point out Greece's key role in promoting economic cooperation in the Balkans and the initiatives for linking the transport, energy and digital networks in the region, in his meetings during his official visit to the US.
Charitsis will represent the Greek goverment at the Greek Investment Roadshow 2018 taking in New York, Washington and Chicago between June 18 and 23.
The Greek minister will meet with the Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in Washington, with whom he will discuss the enhancement of bilateral economic relations and US participation in the 83rd Thessaloniki International Fair in September, in which the US will be the honored country.
Charitsis will also hold a series of meeting with international investors and funds and will present investment opportunities in Greece. He will mainly emphasise the government's Growth Strategy.
Charitsis and US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt will be the key speakers at the 7th Greek Investment Forum of the Athens Stock Exchange that will take place in New York on Tuesday, in the context of the Greek Investment Roadshow organised by Enterprise Greece.
