Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Athens on Sunday evening for an official visit that is meant to deepen economic ties between Greece and China.

Greek feta cheese will be sold in China under a Protected designations of origin (PDO) mark, after intense and long-standing negotiations between the EU and China on geographical indications of products came to a successful conclusion.

China will be honouring Greece at the International Import Expo 2019, which will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2019.

For the first time, a reigning NBA MVP will play against the US on a major international stage. Antetokounmpo and Greece (2-1) will be the opponent when the US (3-0) opens second-round play on Saturday night.

A new production of the play “Agamemnon,” co-produced by the national theaters of China and Greece, will premiere at the National Theater of China in Beijing on Feb. 20. The announcement of the co-production was made by China’s National Theater on Thursday.
