Four Greek researchers in the laboratory of a Greek university conceived and implemented an innovative idea to create cheap and simultaneously functional robotic prosthetic hands. Constructing innovative prosthetic hands, extremely functional, light weight, which can be made with a cost of only 180 euros (with the motor), when the market price exceeds 20,000 euros.
Minas Liarokapis, Agis Zisimatos, George Kontoudis and Christopher Mavroyiannis created OpenBionics in the Automatic Control Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens, under the supervision of Prof. Kostas Kyriakopoulos.
