The Greek Community of Naples and Campania, the Italian General State Archives and the Federation of Greek Communities and Brotherhoods of Italy, in collaboration with the Greek Embassy in Rome, are organizing from June to September 2015, in Naples, Italy, Exhibition on “GREEKS IN CAMPANIA: 500 YEARS OF HISTORY”.
The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Italian Republic, the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the City of Naples and the Campania Region.
The Report (June 5/30 Septemvriou2015) at the Palace of the State Archives of Naples will include archival footage from 1.500 until today, partly unpublished, significantly videos and recently relics of the Diaspora. The exhibition will be inaugurated on June 5 in the morning, in Filangieri room. International Scientific Meeting of June 26, 2015, at the Palace of the Municipality of Naples, will join many prestigious researchers. The history of Diaspora Hellenism in Naples and Southern Italy is one of the most important pages in the temporal course of Modern Hellenism and the history of Messinian castletown.
