The youngest ever editor in chief of Vogue is Greek

Twenty-nine year old Thaleia Karafyllidou, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the soon to be launched Vogue Greece by Condé Nast International, becoming the youngest editor to ever head the international magazine title.

The new Greek Vogue will be published both in print and online as soon as Spring 2019.

Speaking to Business of Fashion, Thaleia, who is mainly known from her career in Kathimerini, stated how she brings passion and dedication to her role as Editor in Chief. She also has a strong vision for Vogue Greece, as she wants “to create a multimedia brand – not just a magazine, but a social force with a lot of conferences and events.”

Working alongside Thaleia will be also be Natassa Bouterakou as Publisher of Vogue Greece, Nicolas Georgiou as Creative and Fashion Director, Giorgos Tsiros as Managing Editor, Elis Kiss as Fashion Features Editor and Dionisis Andrianopoulos as Art Director.

Karina Dobrotvorskaya, Executive Director of editorial development at Condé Nast International said that “there is a very interesting fashion landscape and audience in Greece who are eager to embrace newer international and local brands.”

“Vogue Greece will be the leading fashion and lifestyle magazine featuring Greek creativity and talent in fashion, design, culture, style, beauty, travel, art and so much more.”
