Meeting with Senators of Greek origin, Mr. Leonidas Raptakis (USA) and Mr. Gerry Sklavounos (Canada), with the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Mr. Panagiotis Kouroumblis. The two Senators were accompanied by the Mayor of Andros, Mr. Theodosis Sousoudis. Mr. Brian Hoyt from the US Embassy in Athens, also attended the meeting.

Mr. Raptakis and Mr. Sklavounos referred to issues of cooperation between the Merchant Marine Academy and American educational institutions. Mr. Sousoudis referred to issues related to the operation of the Andros Port Facility.

Mr. Kouroumblis analyzed the Greek port policy and highlighted the investment opportunities that the new policy creates, referring to ports of Northern Greece, mainly.
