A Greek among Forbes “30 Under 30”, the Young Leaders, Inventors And Visionary Entrepreneurs. The Forbes List includes young disruptors across ten categories, including entertainment, finance and technology.  Stavros Tsompanidis is one of them. His company PHEE in Rio by Patras designs and manufactures unique natural products by recycling the leaves of seagrass.

24.year-old Stavros Tsompanidis is founder of start-up PHEE, which manufactures gift boxes and iPhone cases from the dead leaves of the sea plant Posidonia Oceanica (aka Neptune Grass).

The company is one of the first to turn this plant into a useful product and recently won an award for best startup in sustainable development at the Startup Greece Awards.

In PHEE, they are introducing seagrass as a new raw material, they strive to restore the natural balance, while promoting the values and principles of “green” entrepreneurship and the upcycling of natural resources.

Tsompanidis was inspired to this idea two years ago.
