Greek Startup Universe: Innovative Greeks abroad Network with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

STARTS ON MARCH 2 - What is it and how will the program work

The launch of the Greek Startup Universe online program on March 2, carried out by the non-profit organization Startup Greece and Founderhood,
was announced by the General Secretariat for Public Diplomacy and Greeks Abroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In this context, it invites interested Greek and Cypriot founders of start-up technology companies or ideas, operating in Greece or internationally,
to register in the program through the website www.greekstartupuniverse.org, until March 1, 2021, while more information will be available at an online news
event, which will be broadcast live on the social networks of the Greek Startup Universe on Facebook and Twitter @GreekStartupUni.
The number of companies registered in the National Register of Start-ups is 137.
The program, as the General Secretariat explains in an announcement, is free for all Greeks and Cypriots who have a technological start-up or an idea that
promises to change the world. In particular, it is reported that successful Greek start-ups, investors and specialized professionals, with action and experience
in one of the world's largest technology innovation centers, will come into contact within next 8 weeks.
What is the goal of the Greek Startup Universe program:

The Greek Startup Universe is defined as aiming at networking innovative Greeks around the world, bringing together strategic partners such as GreekTech in
New York, CyprusInno in Cyprus and the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Greek Consulate General in Agios Fragos. Communication partners of the
program are the Economia Group and the Business. The action of the program is supported, among others, by Orange Grove, the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship
and Innovation and the Greek House of Davos.
Analyzing the program further, the General Secretariat clarifies that the participating groups will have the opportunity to book individual meetings, with more
than 40 specialists of Greek origin, professionals on 5 continents, to offer their experience in product development, such as communication, sales and
financing strategies. At the same time, they will have access to a network of approximately 17 markets of the global technology business scene, as well as to
major technology centers such as St. Francis, New York and Israel, as well as emerging markets such as India and Brazil. Indicatively, it is mentioned that the
participating professionals come from companies such as Google, Amazon, Salesforce, Linkedin, Facebook.
In parallel with the individualized meetings, participants will be able to watch weekly talks by experienced founders of technologically mature companies,
which have attracted funding of $ 500 million, such as Alexis Piperidis, Costas N. Pardis and Costas Pardalis Bonatsos. The pillars of the program include
participation in the active community of the program network, access to educational materials as well as tools and services offered by partner companies, such
as HubSpot, Zendesk and Proto.io. Finally, the teams that show progress during the program will get in touch with Greek Angel investors, with available funds
for investment worth $ 10 million.
