Students of the the Technical University of Kozani built the first racing motorcycle that was largely made by Greek hands. The 11 young men and women who constitute the Typhoon Motoracing UoWM group, have long been preparing the 250 cc motorcycle in the department laboratories.

The purpose of their creation is to participate in two weeks in the international competition «MotoStudent» at the track of Aragon in Spain. The competition will be attended by 35 teams from Europe and the rest of the world, some of which have extensive experience from participation in previous events, and have a strong tradition in industrial production. The organizers made available to all competitors the engine, wheels and rims and the Typhoon Motoracing team designed and built all of the other components of the motorcycle from scratch.
