The latest developments in the Cyprus problem, the Greek negotiation with lenders and the recent initiatives of the Hellenic Parliament, were discussed at the meeting between the President of the Hellenic Parliament Zoe Konstantopoulou and the Cypriot AKEL MEP and member of the Eurogroup of the Left Takis Hadjigeorgiou.
Ms Konstantopoulou briefed Mr Hadjigeorgiou on the initiatives undertaken by the Hellenic Parliament in relation to the audit of the debt, claiming the German debt and the Committee of Inquiry responsibilities concerning the inclusion of Greece in the Memorandum.
The President was briefed by Mr Hadjigeorgiou on developments in the European Parliament, but also for the recent, very encouraging, developments in the field of the Cyprus problem.
