A number of Greek Australians were honoured in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours for Australia. Presented on 11 June by the Governor-General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, the 17 honourees represent a wide variety of professions, disciplines and services.
Jack Anastas, Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) — For service to the welfare of veterans, and to the community.
Judith Robyn Anictomatis (OAM) — For service to women in the Northern Territory.
Jonathan Rhys Carapetis, Member of the Order of Australia (AM) — For significant service to medicine in the field of paediatrics, particularly the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of rheumatic heart disease.
Constantine George Castrisos (OAM) — For service to the restaurant and catering industry.
Victor George Feros (OAM) — For service to town planning.
John Hatzistergos (AM) — For significant service to the law and the judiciary, and to the people and Parliament of New South Wales through a range of ministerial roles.
Peter Kazacos (OAM)) — For service to the community through charitable organisations.
Natalie Anne Kyriacou (OAM) — For service to wildlife and environmental conservation education.
Panayiotis Hadji Kyriacou (OAM) — For service to the Cypriot community of Darwin
Bill Malandris (OAM) — For service to the Greek community of North Queensland.
Stephen Andrew Margolis (OAM) — For service to rural medicine, and to medical education.
Michael John Mavromatis (OAM) — For service to the community of Port Pirie.
Michael Miros (OAM) — For service to medicine, particularly to gastroenterology.
