Stelios Kerasidis; the 6-year-old wonder-kid from Greece, who has already achieved what many professional pianists would not even dream about, is ready to dazzle an American audience as he is getting ready for his long trip to New York where he will perform in Carnegie Hall on October 31.
Kerasidis was born in the Greek capital of Athens in 2012 and lives with his parents. His father is a piano soloist and teacher; thus the young boy’s life is full of piano melodies.
His dad revealed that his son started playing the piano since he was a baby and he had his first lesson at the age of three; while his favorite composers are Chopin, Beethoven and Bach.
Supported by the world-famous piano soloist Agathi Lemoni, Kerasidis has already managed to play in front of well-respected audiences such as in London’s Royal Albert Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein and he has played alongside the Athenian Sinfonietta orchestra.
In Italy, Kerasidis won the first prize in the international piano competition “Citta di Spoleto”.
Kerasidis became widely known to the Greek audience after his participation in the TV show Greece’s got talent, where he managed to amaze both the judges and the audience.
