The Department of Social Anthropology and History of the University of the Aegean and the Institute of Migration and Ethnic Studies of the University of Amsterdam welcome applications for the International Summer School "Cultures, Migrations, Borders" that will take place on the island of Lesvos (Plomari Town) from July 6 to 18.
Drawing on an increasing interest in the study of migration and borders, the Summer School aims to bring together postgraduate students and academics from different European universities and research centres working in this field. The deadline for applications is May 15.
The University of the Aegean offers 19 Summer School programmes in various disciplines on the islands of Lesvos, Chios, Naxos, Paros, Rhodes, Samos, and Syros. The Summer Schools are supported by researchers from Greek academic institutions as well as many international guest lecturers.
