The "Daughters of Penelope", the women's organization of the "family" of AHEPA recently completed 85 years of service to the community. The organization was founded in 1929 by Alexandra Apostolides, a native of Corfu.
Today, the "Daughters" is a remarkable organization with over 200 departments in the US, Canada and Europe, which aims to promote Hellenism, education, philanthropy and responsibility of citizens.
