The General Secretariat of Hellenes Abroad & Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University organize the 1st International Conference of the Hellenic Medical Diaspora from July 15 to 17 in Thessaloniki - under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior (Department of Macedonia-Thrace).
It is estimated that thousands of doctors and employees in the field of Health will participate in the Medical Conference. The Conference, which will be honored by the presence of leading researchers, distinguished scientists, Professors and institutional actors from around the world, will take place at the City Concert Hall - with the possibility of digital monitoring and participation.
The International Conference of the Hellenic Medical Diaspora will be developed in two axes. The first entitled "Hippocrates meets Aristotle" is under the responsibility of the Aristotle Medical Forum organized by the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (https://diaspora.med.auth.gr/amf2022/). The second, entitled 1st International Conference of the Hellenic Medical Diaspora, is purely scientific and bears the stamp of the Hellenic Medical Societies. It is pointed out that the Conference will be accompanied by remarkable cultural events.

The aim of the event is to highlight the pioneering achievements of Medicine and biomedical technology, as well as the planning of actions for the promotion of Public Health. The holding of parallel Conferences facilitates the forging of ties between the participants and an unprecedented interaction, which will lead to innovative synergies of scientists of Greek origin with each other, but also with the metropolitan center. In addition, it will highlight the remarkable potential of Greek doctors in Greece and abroad.
The strategic goal of the General Secretariat of Hellenes Abroad & Public Diplomacy - the main pillar of Greece's promotion abroad, a link and a reference point for Hellenes Abroad - is to lay strong, institutional foundations for the multilevel interconnection of expatriates, and the city of Thessaloniki to become an international center of the Greek Diaspora.
