Last week, 29 young Hellenes at the age of 15-17 years old, visited the Hellenic Parliament as part of the program of meetings in Greece, organized by the General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Objective of the program among other things is to strengthen and encourage closer contact of the young Hellenes of the Diaspora with the Greek culture and also their acquaintance with modern Greece.
The participants travelled from countries of Latin/Central America, Oceania and N. Africa and following their tour of the Hellenic Parliament building they met with the Secretary General of the Hellenic Parliament Mr. Athanasios Papaioannou. The Secretary General of the Hellenic Parliament greeted and discussed with the young Hellenes issues of Greek current affairs.
