Zoe Konstantopoulou: "Germany has to assume its historic responsibility in terms not only moral but also substantive Commemorations of the 218 heroes of Distomo

The President of the Hellenic Parliament and President of the parliamentary Committee of German Debt Claim, Zoe Konstantopoulou participated on commemorations of the massacre of Distomo and memorial ceremonies for 218 victims of Nazi atrocities.

At the end of the event, the President of the Parliament stated: "(...) Today's anniversary brings us all accountable to reclaim the historical memory and historical justice. Because history can not continue when the wounds caused by some of the most heinous atrocities, which are the most embarrassing moments for humanity, are left unhealed. Germany has to assume its historic responsibility in terms not only moral but also substantive (...)".
