The exhibition "Aegean: the Creation of an Archipelago" will be held at the Vittoriano Museum, Rome, until February 26. The exhibition - which was initially held at the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest - reveals the evolution of the Aegean islands over millions of years through photographic material, electronic applications and interactive screenings.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see artifacts and fossils of redwood trees, palm trees, and of small elephants that lived in the region of the Aegean archipelago and disappeared in the course of cosmic upheavals.
