Philippos-Ilarion Sytilidis, a student from Thessaloniki, northern Greece has received a full scholarship to attend Harvard University, amounting to 69,000 dollars per year for four years. Philippos, who is currently in his last year of high school, will major in mathematics.

In the context of maintaining close tights of the Hellenic Parliament with the bodies of Hellenism of the Diaspora, the 1st Vice President of the House, Mr. Tassos Kourakis, welcomed in his office, the President of the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association (WHIA) Mr. Thomas Katsiantonis, State representative of New Hampshire in the USA and Mr. Leonidas Raptakis, WHIA member and state senator in Rhodes Island, USA. The meeting was also attended by the Diplomatic Advisor of the Hellenic Parliament, Ambassador Mr. Spyros Theocharopoulos.
During the 38th session of UNESCO’s General Conference (Nov 3-18), the 195 Member States unanimously agreed to ratify the creation of the “UNESCO Global Geoparks”.
