The UNESCO Award for "Learning Cities" was awarded to the city of Larissa. The prize was received yesterday by Mayor of Larissa, Apostolos Kalogiannis, who was with a delegation of the municipality in Cork, Ireland, as part of the International Conference on "Learning Cities".

Four masterpieces, two from the Shanghai Museum and two from the Acropolis Museum, are to 'travel' to Greece and China, respectively, for display as temporary exhibits in the two museums.
