The 12th International Bookfair of Thessaloniki (ITB) is taking place in the city of Thessaloniki on May 7-10. This year the ITB will host a special tribute to the great poet from Thessaloniki, Manolis Anagnostakis and acknowledged critic, essayist and poet Zissimos Lorentzatos.

The Fair will also feature a special tribute to the Distant Voices (Voces lejanas) of Iberian - American literature with special presentations of emblematic writers, such as Gabriel García Márquez, Fernando Pessoa, Jorge Luis Borges and Eduardo Galeano.

Moreover, thematic exhibitions will explore the relation between books and music, design and cinema. It is noted that the ITB gathers more book professionals from more than 30 countries and is visited by more than 65,000 people.
