Six physics professors from the National Technological University of Athens (known as “The Polytechnic”) are among the 200 top researchers on the list of the 672 most influential researchers worldwide. The list is compiled annually by Webometrics for the field of high-energy physics.
Professor Georgios Tsipolitis placed 45th on the list titled “Most Highly Cited Researchers.” Tsipolitis was followed by Emmanouil Dris, in 73rd place, Theodoros Alexopoulos, in 74th, and Stavros Maltezos, in 87th place. The Greek researchers Evangelos Gazis was in 121st place and Constantinos Kousouris was ranked 191st on the list.
The University’s governing council congratulated all the researchers, who it said not only add to the university’s prestige but contribute valuable additions to the Greek scientific community with their research work.
